Over the past fifteen years of web design and user interface projects in Seattle, Ms. Lynn has built a reputation for her innovative approach to customer experience, user interface design and website creation. Founder and President at DogsBite.org (Non-Profit)
October 2007 - Present(2007 - Present) After enduring a serious dog attack in June 2007, Colleen was determined to a build a national web presence for this underserved cause. DogsBite.org began as a 20-page website in October 2007. It has since grown into a resource of over 2,000 web pages frequented by dog bite victims, attorneys, lawmakers and media members. Ms. Lynn created all parts of the site, including the design, brand and content. The site receives over 100,000 impressions a month and is often quoted in news reports. On the heels of being cited in a major medical study in April 2011 (Mortality, Mauling, and Maiming by Vicious Dogs), DogsBite.org received its 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status from the IRS. www.dogsbite.org

January 1996 - 2009(1996 - 2009) From 1996 to late 2009, Colleen operated her Seattle-based design company, VainNotion, Inc., and played a key visual role in nearly 100 website designs, as well as device and prototype designs. Websites from this period include designs for startup companies, Onvia.com and MediaVillage.com, and local retail companies, Club Zum and Western Neon. Identity designs include MOD Systems and the Microsoft Mentor Program. Device designs include the MOD Systems kiosk for downloading music and videos (2007), FullPlay Media's personal listening station -- over 10,000 units were shipped to nationwide FYE retail establishments (2001-2002) -- and 3-dimensional emoticons and icons for Openwave's cellular platform (2004). www.vainnotion.com

2003 - 2005(2001-2005) In 2001, Colleen launched a consumer website, RuneCast.com; a relationship advice website targeted at women between the ages of 25-35. Her role as the product designer included: user experience design, subscriber features, interactive fortune telling features, greeting card features, site-wide editorial content, illustration, brand identity and customer support.1 At the time of closing this business in 2005, the site had 50,000 registered users and several thousand annual subscribing members.

September 1995 - May 1996(1995-1996) Throughout the fall of 1995 and spring of 1996, Colleen instructed two evening courses at the Art Institute of Seattle: Intro Authoring, basic authoring in Macromedia Director and Computer Imaging, basic multimedia design in Photoshop.

2D Design Director at HyperBole Studios
1993 - 1995In 1993, not long after breaking into the graphic design field, Colleen was discovered by a small interactive new media firm, Hyperbole Studios. She quickly joined the Houston-based group and moved with them to Seattle where they had established a relationship with Media Vision's Multimedia Publishing Group. From 1993 to 1995 she led Hyperbole's 2-D design team and helped create four groundbreaking CD-Rom titles. Each title pioneered interactive storytelling and the art of multiple narrative outcomes.
